Heidi's great adventure
Heidi had one of the great adventures of her life this evening. She got to walk around the town square. She got to see lots of little children who wanted to pet her. She got to smell smells, hear noises, etc. that she had never encountered before. She met a dog who looked as big as a pony. They touched noses. Then she got to sit in the car as the Christmas parade came by. That part she did not like. There were sirens, bells, whistles and lots of lights. There was a marching band. I think the band is what did her in. She dived on the floor board of the back seat and never came out again.
When we got home, she just sat in the middle of the floor looking stunned. Then she ate her supper with gusto and has napped almost continually since.
Mini Weenies have their limits, you know.

From a dog's perspective, marching bands must be pretty bizarre and frightening things. I don't blame her for hiding :)
Hope you both had a happy Thanksgiving! Did Heidi have any Turkey?
No, Heidi didn't have turkey. My turkey didn't arrive till late Thanksgiving Eve. For backup we had ham. She had a couple of bites of that, but I have found she can't have much of that as it upsets her tummy.
Wait till you read TEXAS CHAINSAW INCIDENT. She is not quite ready to put that one into words, as it was so traumatic to her.
